Booking terms and conditions
L’Ermitage booking terms and conditions Reservations are subject to the terms and the following conditions :
- A contract between you and the l’Ermitage will come into effect when payment is received and booking confirmation will be issued indicating the dates of vacation confirmed.
- The contract binds you and all members of your group. It is your responsibility to ensure that all members of your group accept the terms of the contract set out in these general reservations conditions. Failure to disclose all informations relevant or to comply with these terms may result in termination of the contract and the loss of the reservation.
- The refundable deposit of €2,500 is required in the event of damage to the property or its content. However the sum reserved by this clause shall not limit the responsibility of the Customer towards the owner. The owner will report to the customer of the security deposit and will refund the balance due within one week of the end of the rental period, provided there are no major damages or other costs incurred.
- Any cancellation must be notified in writing. If you cancel your holiday more than eight weeks before the scheduled start, a 100% refund of your rental is possible. If you cancel less than eight weeks before the holiday, the rental amount is non-refundable.
- If you have to cancel the reservation, the owner will do his best tore-let the property and, if successful, the owner will refund thepayment of the rental in full, less any expense or loss incurred.
- If for any reason you leave the property before the departure date, no refunds will be granted.
- We strongly advise you to take out appropriate travel insurancez and to fully cover the party’s medical and bodily expenses, personal effects, civil liability and cancellation cover, etc., as these will not be covered by the owner’s insurance.
- Your reservation will not be canceled by the owner except in case of exceptionnal circumstances beyond our control. The cancellation will be notified and we will reimburse you as soon as possible for all payments made for your vacation. Our liability in the event of cancellation will be limited to the payments made to us.
- The client cannot exceed the maximum number of occupants (12 people) in the property without the prior consent of the owner, or be housed at the property or be present on the property.
- Only people registered at the reservation can occupy the property. Wereserve the right to terminate the reservation without notice and without reimbursement in the event of breach of this condition.
- Reservations cannot be accepted for persons under eighteen.
- The owner reserves the right to refuse a reservation without giving any reason.
- Bed linen, table linen and towels for the bathroom are provided available to customers at no additional cost.
- The property will be available for guests at 4:00 p.m. on the day of arrival and the guests are required to vacate the property by 10.00am on day of departure. That allows the accommodation to be thoroughly cleaned and prepared for incoming guests.
- Pets or smoking are not allowed anywhere inside premises and will result in the immediate termination of occupancy and the forfeiture of all payments.
- The owner will ensure that the facilities are in working order and that the property is well equipped.
Damage and breakage
- Please treat the facilities and accommodation so other customers can continue to enjoy . If you find that something is missing in your accommodation, please let us know immediately so that we can take appropriate action. If there has been any damage or breakages during your stay, please report them to us promptly, especially before departure. The accommodation will be inspected at the end of the holiday and you may be charged for any loss or damage.
- Do not move any furniture from one room to another.
- All inventory must remain on the property.
- We reserve the right to enter the property at any time to undertake essential maintenance or for inspection purposes.
- Please lock doors and close windows when leaving the property unoccupied.
- Be sure to turn off lights, heating, air conditioning or any appliances electric when you go out – we operate in a respect of the environment.
- Please do not take bath towels with you to the pool. Pool towels are provided for each guest.
- The owner reserves the right to charge additional fees for cover additional cleaning costs if the client leaves the property in an unacceptable state.
- Please note that if keys are not returned at the end of your stay, replacement costs will be charged to you.
- Under no circumstances may the client relet or sublet the property, even free of charge.
- The owner will not be liable for any temporary defects or malfunction of any equipment, machinery or apparatus in the building, land or swimming pool.
- No compensation will be given for any temporary or malfunction of any equipment, machinery or apparatus in the building, the ground or the swimming pool.
- No compensation will be granted for any temporary power outage,gas, water, internet connection or television service. Or for all loss, damage or injury resulting from weather conditions adverse events, riots, wars, strikes or other events beyond the control of the owner.
Swimming pool
- Customers understand and accept that the swimming pool is not open from beginning of October to the end of April and when it is open, customers understand and accept that the swimming pool is not supervised.
- The property is equipped with an electric blanket that complies with the requirements and French legislation (standard NF P90-308). Customers accept and acknowledge that they will use the electric blanket to ensure the swimming pool safety, as required by French law and according to the instructions.
- The swimming pool is reserved for guest members.
- Please do not bring glass or sharp objects near the pool.
- Clients should shower before entering the water to rinse off creams and makeup.
- Guests are responsible for the safety and security of their party, especially children, at any time. Never leave children without adult supervision. The owner declines all responsibility for case of breach.
Jacuzzi
- Guests understand and agree that the hot tub is not open from early October to early April and when open, customers understand and accept that the jacuzzi is not supervised.
- The property is equipped with a cover. Customers accept and acknowledge that they will use it to ensure the safety of the hot tub.
- The jacuzzi is reserved for guest members.
- Please do not bring glass or sharp objects near the hot tub.
- Clients should shower before entering the water to rinse off creams and makeup.
- Guests are responsible for the safety and security of their party, especially children, at any time. Never leave children without adult supervision. The owner declines all responsibility for case of breach.
- Please park your vehicles in the designated parking space, making sure ensuring that cars do not block access.
- Please respect the community and try to maintain noise levels, particularly between 11:00 p.m. and 8:00 a.m.
- We reserve the right to end a stay without compensation when the unreasonable behavior of the persons named on the reservation (or their guests) may be detrimental to the enjoyment, comfort or health of others.
- You will be able to use the owner’s Internet/Wi-Fi network. The guests are not allowed to visit websites with discriminatory, seditious or illegal content or download illegal files or perform other illegal activities through the owner’s Internet/Wi-Fi network.
Barbecues
- Please use designated barbecue utensils and clean the barbecue after use.
- Candles are not allowed inside the house.
- Any problem or complaint the client may have regarding their holiday must immediately be reported directly to us and we will endeavor to remedy. Any complaints not reported at that time and reported only after the client’s return from vacation will not be taken into account by the owner.
- This property is private property. We would like and expect from all customers that they enjoy the facilities and treat the property with the same respect that they would with their own house.
- This contract is governed by French law down to the smallest detail, including its formation and interpretation. Any proceedings arising out of or in connection with, this Agreement may be brought in any court having jurisdiction in France.
- All personal data that the owner obtains from guests is in accordance with the GDPR regulations, as indicated in the declaration of owner confidentiality.
